Series Info and Rules:
1) No-Shows
i) If a rider is unable to participate in the next race, they MUST message a moderator before disappearing. If you fail to do so it can result in a punishment. The 1st rider who missed out will take your spot in the race and you will not be allowed back in the event.
ii) 2 consecutive No-Shows will result in possible disqualification from the series at the discretion of the Admins & Race Directors
iii) Retiring from the race 2 weeks in a row will be punishable by a 2 week suspension
2) Rule Changes
i) League rules are subject to change at any time
ii) If changes are made to the rules, announcements will be made in the discord.
3) Incident Reviews
i) Each protest and incident brought forward by the riders will be reviewed, depending on the amount of maturity about it
ii) Every review will be looked at by 3-5 reviewers (These reviewers will not be from the same class as the incident) to ensure there is an unbiased opinion.
iii) Full race replays are automatically saved at the end of each race session and they will be checked to make sure we see both sides.
iv) VODs will be reviewed to monitor rider feedback about cheating/cutting (1) If you see something, say something (2) PLEASE NOTE: We cannot guarantee a 100% successful review of the incident. Race VODs are saved but don’t always capture the entire moto (sometimes the opening laps are not included in 20 minute motos).
4) Classes
i) 250SX will allow MX2OEM only
ii) 450SX will allow MX1OEM only
Race Rules & Etiquette:
1) Jump Starts
i) A max of 2 resets will be issued shortly after gate drop if players jump start.
ii) Jump starts are a bit of a mystery in MXB, so if a player jump starts more than once it’s likely they’ll need to restart their game or reconnect to the server in order to prevent further jump starts. We will not always delay race time to allow for player reconnects/restarts, but may do it if time allows. (1) If time allows, and a player chooses to restart their game, they will be given 5 minutes to do so. The Race Director will not delay more than 5 minutes (2) For more info regarding game crashes during the start, see “Red Flag” rules in Section 7 below.
2) Track Resets
i) The track will always be fresh for new events (Qualifying, Heats, LCQ’s & Mains).
ii) Riders will be asked to stay off the track until the race begins
3) Lapped Riders (Blue Flags)
i) This rule cannot be stressed enough. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU HAVE 2D FLAGS ENABLED & NAMES ON ( See the riders position next to the riders name )
ii) Riders who are presented the blue flag, but do not move out of the way of the race leaders, may be punished by the following depending on the severity: (1) Docked positions (2) Race suspension
iii) Race leaders should be prepared to present a Protest (Section 6 below) if a lapper disrupts their moto.
iv) You wouldn’t want to lose a lead position because of a stubborn lapper, so don’t be that person.
v) Any punishments will be assessed and issued by the Admins & Race Directors. Additionally, Race Directors may call-out lappers mid-race via the in-game chat system.
4) Blatant Track Cuts
i) Track cuts will punishable by docked positions or race disqualification at the discretion of the PDMX Admins & Race Directors
ii) Repeated cuts after being told not to, or being advised in the discords prior to a race, may come with more severe consequences
5) Intentionally cutting track and/or taking out another rider
i) This is subject to immediate disqualification from the race season, pending an investigation by the Admins
ii) This means if you cut the track specifically to take out another rider, or are caught intentionally taking out another rider whether a track cut was involved or not (Rule #4) (1) Track cutting is an intentional and premeditated act. Between the time you get upset enough to do it, and when you actually take the action, you should remind yourself that it could be your last act in the current season. We currently have no rules regarding censorship of your first amendment rights. Feel free to go full Keyboard Warrior, just keep it off the track.
iii) If a rider performs an intentional takeout in the final round, they may be ineligible to race the following series
iv) Any occurrences of this will be reviewed and acted upon.
v) Taking a rider out in a corner may result in warnings/position-docking, but rubbing is indeed racing, so it will be treated case-by-case. This is also MXB we’re playing here, so some things happen accidentally.
6) Rider Protests
i) Not every situation on the track can be caught by commentary stream, but we do save VODs for review
ii) If a rider wishes to protest another rider, they may do so. If any rider is caught in violation of the rules, a video will be produced highlighting the infraction and posted publicly for the community to see. Likewise, all protests will be made public, so don’t protest unless you truly believe the opposite rider is in violation of the rules.
iii) Any protests should be accompanied by details pertaining to when the incident happened (i.e. time on the clock, lap #, track location, etc.) to make reviewing as simple as possible. Without this information, there’s no guarantee we will find the incident in the replay.
7) Red Flag Rules
i) Red Flags (full race restart) will be assessed in real-time by the Admins & Race Directors, and may be enforced under the following circumstances: (1) Riders miss the start gate but are ready before the race leader crosses the finish line for the first time (“FFL”) (2) Riders intentionally sabotaging a holeshot/start-straight (aka “Dive Bombing”)
ii) As a written rule, Red Flags will be guaranteed in the following circumstances: (1) A Max of 2 restarts for “jumpstarts” (known issue in MXB)
iii) We will NOT restart for “game crashes” after the gate has dropped, only because we have no way to confirm that someones game has actually crashed or they just wanted to restart.
8) Laps Not Counting
i) If a Rider’s Lap does not count, a review of the reason why will need to be conducted before an official change in points standings will be made. (e.g. blatantly skipping the finish, crashing before it, being pushed off track, etc)
ii) Riders should provide the series admins with the following information to ensure a successful review can be conducted: (1) Approximate Time (time remaining in the race) the incident occurred (2) Approximate Position you were in when the incident occurred (3) Rider you finished in front of, or behind (Video evidence is requested) Points System:
